ACT My Answer Key gives you a digital copy of the scored questions from your actual ACT, your answers, the correct answers and the table ACT used to turn them into scores. For 2026-27 it is offered on the October 2026, December 2026, April 2027 and June 2027 test dates. It costs $36 if you order when you register, or $44 afterward.
Which ACT dates offer My Answer Key in 2026-27?

The September, February and July tests are not on the list. If you plan to retake, that is a reason to make your first sitting one of these four. The full calendar is in ACT test dates for 2026-27.
ACT used to call this service the Test Information Release, or TIR, and you will still see that name on older pages. ACT's page does not say whether online testers qualify on these dates. If that decides your format, ask ACT before you register. Formats are compared in ACT online or on paper.

ACT describes the copy as the scored questions, so do not expect the unscored trial questions. On a core ACT that is 23 of the 131 questions you saw, which is why the copy is shorter than the test felt.
Why does it matter more than it looks?
Because the other test will not do it. You cannot see your questions from a real digital SAT: College Board's Question-and-Answer Service ended when the digital SAT launched, and it has not come back. We cover what SAT students do instead in reviewing a real SAT without the answer service.
A practice test shows you how you do on a quiet afternoon. My Answer Key shows you how you did on the day, nerves and clock included. The mistakes from test day are the ones you most need to see, and the ACT is the one test that hands them back.
ACT's retesting page says students who bought My Answer Key and retested improved twice as much on average as those who did not. Read that carefully. The students who pay to review a test are often the ones who were going to study hardest anyway, so the review may not deserve all the credit. It is still the best material you will ever have for a retake.
How should you use My Answer Key?
Do it within two weeks of your scores, while you still remember why you picked what you picked. Then work through it in three passes.
Start by sorting every miss. Label each one as a question you could not do, a question you misread, one you ran out of time for, or one you changed from right to wrong. The method is the same as for a practice test, and how to review a practice test lays out the error log we use.
Next, open the conversion table. For each section, count how many more correct answers would have moved your section score one point. Then add up your three section scores. With three sections averaged, you can be one section point from your next Composite or three, and how the ACT is scored shows how to tell which.
Last, look at where the misses sit. A cluster of misses at the end of a section is a pacing problem. Misses spread evenly are a content problem. They need different fixes, and the first one is usually cheaper.
Is ACT My Answer Key worth $36?
If you plan to retake, yes. $36 is about half the price of the test itself, and it is the only way to review the test that produced your score. If this was your last sitting, skip it.
Order it when you register. It is $8 cheaper than ordering later, and you cannot forget. Students with an ACT fee waiver get My Answer Key on qualifying dates as part of the waiver. After the retake, your best sections combine into a superscore automatically.
